Communities of leaf-chewing insects in lowland rainforests of New Guinea

This is a long-term project which studying patterns and determinants of species richness and host specificity of herbivorous insects on rainforest trees. Extensive information on our methods and results, including images of more than 1,000 herbivore species can be found on the project web site and selected pictures of leaf-chewing insects.
