Accommodation

AccommodationBRC can provide shared rooms, full meals, air-conditioned lab space, and internet access at the main campus in Madang. There is a dormitory-style accommodation available in Goroka and Kegesugl (on the way to the upper part of the transect).

At the transect stations, a tourist hut is available at 3700 m asl that also provides access to 3200 m station. There are simple bush camps at 2700, 2200 and 1700 m stations.

The Numba camp provides access to 1200 m and 700 m stations and includes houses from bush materials, solar power and radio connection. There is a village-stype accommodation at 200 m asl. A cook, local guides, and field assistants are available at all stations, but the food and other supplies have to be brought with each expedition as needed.
